Description
The 17/25-pounder is a large and imposing gun. Its barrel is almost 4.2m (13′ 9″) long, giving it a high muzzle velocity and good long-range accuracy. Its size makes it harder to conceal than smaller anti-tank guns. Even at long range, the solid armour-piercing round fired by the 17/25 pdr is more than a match for the armour of the German panzers – even the mighty Tiger will be lucky to survive a direct hit.
