Roden 725 Opel Blitzbus ‘Straßenzepp Essen’ 1:72 Kit
The Opel Blitz ‘Straßenzepp Essen’ was a German bus of the mid 1930’s. It was built by the truck body workshop of Ludewig Brothers on the chassis of the well-known Opel Blitz 3 ton truck. he bus had an unusally futuristic exterior fot that time, and was extensively used in promotional activities to demonstrate the progess of Germany’s motor industry. The overall production of the type was limited. However, completed vehicles wer used not only for propaganda but also for tranportaion of excursions around the cities, of foreign guests during the 1936 Olympics, and so on. Some of the ‘Straßenzepp Essen’ buses were later passed on to Luftwaffe military departments for crew transport.
