The Oshkosh M-ATV is a mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle (MRAP), developed under the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle program. It was designed to replace the M1114 HMMWV and provides the same level of protection as larger and heavier MRAPs. However, the M1240 is significantly more mobile and agile compared to the bigger variants.
